I like the look of the fruit salad and the bowl it's in. I too get into a salary mood when the weather is warmer (it's just Bern really warm here in the UK) and fruit salad is one of my favourites. We don't have garage sales here so I have to rely on charity shops for picking up vintage bits and pieces. Unfortunately we don't have a lot of the lovely things that you and Beth pick up.

I need to copy your idea of having a few salads ready in the fridge for the summer. I'm sure it would help me eat healthier. Thanks for the idea Karla!

Oh my gosh, a life without garage sales! Im surprised your country doesnt have them. They are a great way to clear out your house, make someone else very happy, and get a little cash in your pocket!

We are liking the idea of salads in the fridge so far, Lisa. One staple is the fruit salad. If it doesnt all get eaten, we make smoothies before it goes bad.

I had to laugh at myself for admiring your bottle and not even noticing the curtains in the bowl. I even looked a second time to look at the label and still didn't see it!
That fruit salad looks yummy!! Must go buy some fruit!

Ellie

Another beautiful post. The fruit salad is making me drool.

When you visit your brother in Jacksonville, think I will follow you as you scout out all of the goodies you always seem to find. I never seem to score at yard sales. Oh, what the heck. Guess I can't expect to score when I get up at noon.

Take care, sweet Karla.

You have the best estate sales--we have nothing like that in Columbia! Love the summer salad recipes!

Becky

Wow Karla! You done good, gal!! LOL! Love the millinery and velvety trim on those eggs, and that stove is just awesome!! Does it still work? Too cool!!

I am anxious to get back to doing some thrifting and garage saling! I went for a little while last Saturday, but need to go this weekend!!

Have a joyful Friday and weekend!
Hugs,
Becky

You find the best stuff at garage sales! Have a great weekend.

Ooooooooh, such gorgeous goodies in this post! I could stare and stare at the photo of that scrumptious-looking salad in that beautiful bowl!!! Thank you for telling us about the various salads you make. May just have to try making them.

Your artsy purchases are so pretty. You will have such fun creating with them, especially knowing you got them at some great prices. Oh, and what a great deal on the gorgeous dress for Sugarwings.

Love, LOVE the white yarn and the blue stove! You go to far better sales than I do -- you must live in better territory! Well, good for you! Take me with you if I ever come south. (I make a similar carrot salad but hadn't used the pecans. Next time!)
