My favorite part is "the pit of hell that lurks below".

Every family reunion has their own version of one, Karla.

Arum is so sweet to dig in and help sort out your floor issues. The remodel/addition is looking fantastic. So sorry you weren't feeling well, hope you are all healed?

Gail

Meant Atum, obviously!🤓

One thing for sure there is Never a dull moment or day at your house LOL

And so cute of miss Twinkle to watch all the home improvements.

I'm driving up to Lee's Summit to visit family this weekend

Sorry to hear you weren't feeling well while your family visited. As for the remodeling issues, I totally understand and sympathize. We are doing a living room remodel and kitchen "refresh" (it was gutted and remodeled 10 years ago) just like you. I feel your pain. There is always an unexpected issue or two. Hopefully by the holidays it will all be firmly in our rear view mirrors!

You had my attention with the revelation that you spent most of one day at the ER! Whatever happened, I am so sorry!

Oh, I do NOT like flies in the house, and that would have driven me bonkers. I bet you and Randy were formidable fly fighters!! Loved the action shot of Randy and the fly swatter!!

I am sorry for the extra challenges of the family reunion, but sometimes "adventure" makes for extra special, vivid memories in the long run! :) Thanks for sharing about the visit and the challenges of home remodeling. This post was filled with a lot of fun "Karla" humor, and I really enjoyed it. :)

I am so looking forward to seeing how you decorate your new space. It is looking beautiful so far!

Cathy, remodeling always seems to have some surprises installed, doesn’t it? But I know we will love the project when it is done. I hope you will be happy with yours too, sounds like a big one!

Karla Nathan

The flies made me bonkers, Linda! But we have them under control now that most of the big jobs are done and the doors can stay shut. Randy was my hero, swopping in and smashing as many as he could.

I’m feeling better, thanks, it was some heart arrhythmias that are under control with meds now, but I sure was wiped out for a couple of weeks.

The room is coming along, floors are being stained today, so furniture can go back soon! I can’t wait till I can fill the big space up with our Peeps next Birdsong.
