Birdsong 3 June 7-8, 2013
As in our first two parties, this will be a casual, relaxed, arty weekend, filled with projects, friendships, and fun.
Classes are being held on Friday, June the 7th and Saturday the 8th. Two classes each day, with lunch, drinks, and treats both days. Friday night we will have a party to ooh and ahh over our swaps, enjoy a glass of wine and dinner together. With a little shopping on the side too....
Projects from kits filled with original, vintage supplies, will be taught by Beth Leintz, Lori Oles, and myself.
Photos to come, but I can promise you many lovely, old goodies to play with from us all. You will receive everything you need to complete 4 pieces of art.
I'm thrilled to have both of these friends coming to teach with me. As well as being chocked full of talent, they are two people who always make me laugh, and are fun to be around. Birdsong isn't just about the projects, its about hanging with your buddies and having a lovely time.
Beth is a long time antiques dealer with a soft, low color style in her art work. She has been published in Sew Somerset,Somerset Life, Art Quilting Studio, Simply Handmade, and Romantic Country. She has worked as a designer for the Vintage Workshop and taught at our previous Birdsong and at Paper Cowgirls.
Lori Oles is one of the Bonnes Vivantes for Stampington and has an never ending imagination full of beautiful ideas. Her work can be seen in almost every issue they put out, I'd give you a list, but I lost track a long time ago. Needless to say, she is quite talented and has a lot to share.
I live about 50 minutes from the Kansas City, MO airport and there are numerous hotels within 10 minutes of my home.
If you have any questions, please email me at:
EDIT- the class has almost filled in the week that registration was open to past guests to get first chance at signing up! How nice that so many of our friends want to return, that is such a compliment. And I look forward to seeing them all here again.
There is a possibility of a couple spots left. Please email me if you would like a pay pal invoice or to arrange payments by check. I will also have a waiting list, until all of the sign ups are confirmed by a deposit.
Karla, This looks like an absolutely fun filled weekend. I will attend, someday. It is so wonderful that you open up your cottage to guest so they can play all day. Amazing :)Love your Blog, Art and you!
Many Hugs,
Laura S.
