I've still been crowing around.
Did you read this post from Beth?
She got a deal on these plain bags, and gave me a good deal to buy a stack of them from her.
I wanted to dood them up for Silver Bella, so searched high and low for crown stamp I liked. I checked Ebay, Hobby Lobby, and Michaels, and none of them had what I wanted. I wish my town had a scrap booking store...
So, I ended up buying a princess style wall stamp and restyling it with an exacto knife to make it a bit more grown up looking.
Then, I tried dying a couple of the bags in my left over morning coffee. But it wasn't a rich enough color.
So, I took a handful of regular teabags and added a couple cranberry ones too and added them to the coffee. There was only about 2 cups left so it was very concentrated. I then soaked the sacks in that mixture.
The cranberry bags have a very slight pink tint to them that I really like.
After they dried overnight, I stamped the crown on and outlined it in Stickles (the world's best glitter invention), and smeared the lines a bit with my finger.
Looking for crowns I liked has not gone well recently. I found these charms on Ebay, but wasn't thrilled with them.
But with silver metallic spray paint and some Martha Stewart white gold glitter, I like them better!
These wouldn't be appropriate for jewelry, but glittered up like this, they are just the right touch for my Bella Bags.
The bags are so cool!! And your little touches the the crowns made them much prettier.

Wow I just love those bags!! Glittery and crinkly:-) By not finding what you were looking for you ended up with definite one of a kind designs. I think it is more fun that way!
Hope you have a great weekend

Aren't you the clever one? You do have the artist touch.
I needed a stamp and made it out of a foam sheet. Cut out the shape (crow) and glued it to a piece of glass.
Hoping next year I will become a bella. Terri

Karla, I got my bottle yesterday. It is just beautiful. I think I'll leave the pumpkin wrapped up for now....my 3 year old. That's so funny about the bags...that was my suggestion to her..to give you some for SB. :) They look great.

Loved seeing what you've been up to! I like the way the "dyes" made the bags look, and of course the crowns are the perfect finishing touch. I'm getting ready to photograph my vintage aprons for "Show & Tell Sunday", while the light is still good......
Have a Good Day!!

Ooh those bags turned out beautiful and I guess they smell good too! I have a tag from Lori Karla that smells like vanilla coffee, awesome. Ooh the more I see the more I am looking forward to see all your pictures from Silver Bella. Btw I sometimes wonder whether you have the most glittery house in Kansas. When I am working with glitters everyone and everything here looks glittery. But we like that! Have a nice sunday!

Beth sent me two bags and I've just been picking them up and putting them back down. You really turned yours into something pretty. I'll have to go look at my bags again and see if you've inspired me!

Karla-
These bags are incredibly beautiful. If I were going to the Bella event, I'd want to buy something, just so I could end up with one of your gorgeous bags.
I love these, your crowns, bottles and everything you've glittered. I have had about 50 vials of glitter for several years that were clearanced out and now I've been inspired to get them out and put them to good use. Thanks!
