Well, I think I am ready today for Carol to come over and do pictures of the cottage. I had planned it for last Monday, but got the flu instead and had to reschedule. Too bad, because cleaning and redoing was much harder this week, it was our weekend with Sugarwings. She really, really likes to help. She rearranges my flowers, cleans the toilet with a feather duster, and finds much more interesting displays than I had planned myself.
(the "Joy" banner I made for Christmas has been switched out to spell "Fun" for springtime.)
We waited until it was time for her to go to her mommy's before I banished all of the kid stuff to the porch. My kitchen seems twice as big now!
Actually, it was Sugarwings who put the flower vase on her piano. See what I mean? She did come up with some good ideas. Not all were as successful as this one.
I'll have more photos later if you are interested. I'd better get to work now.
Everything looks fabulous Karla! I just love your home. I cannot wait to see more pictures :) Good luck, though I am sure you wont need it :)
Love ya,
Amy

Looks like she is picking up the decorating bug from her grandma! It will take some refining, as you've mentioned! The flowers on the piano are adorable. (But, cleaning the toilet with the featherduster, yuck!)

Please tell Sugarwings that she did a very good job. Her little piano is just darling and the addition of the vase is just the right touch!

We all want helpers -- except when we don't! Ah, a mixed blessing, but a blessing nonethelesss!

Sometimes the helpers make more work than if they just sat and played - but where would the fun be?
I do love that wall on your staircase papered like that.

Oh, you had me grinning from ear to ear. Sugarwings sounds delightful, and quite helpful. *Wink*
Your room is charming. I am definitely coming back for more pictures. :)

Oh as always your rooms look divine! Even the things you put out on the porch look wonderful, mine would look like a jumbled mess.
Sugarwings piano is to die for!! Oh it is so gorgoeus! I have two much much smaller pianos, you sort of put them on your lap I think, which I won't part with and they are no where near as gorgeous as yours...too sweet.
Have a fun day.

Super cute! Can't wait to find out what the photo shoot is for......is it a magazine shoot? I am glad you are feeling better - I have caught a bug, but there is nothing like Tylenol Extreme Cold to get me back up and running!
I think it is so fascinating to see what little ones do when they think they are helping. My little one decided it would be helpful to change the toliet roll the other day and ended up teepeeing the entire bathroom in the process!

everything is picture perfect Karla...too cute how Sugarwings likes to help you...the posies on the piano are charming indeed..they even match...what an eye that little one has:)

I can't wait to see it all. I bet the pics will be gorgeous! Bethany is so excited for tomorrow!!! We made cute little sandwhiches in flower shapes, homemade pretzels (3 kinds!) and some pasta salad. Can you tell I have been hungry? :) Oh and my car is full of some good junk for you all to go through.

What a helpful little one....I love your fairy pots too!

Good for you getting everything ready, even with extra helpers. Just watch, Sugarwings will soon be doing it all and getting commissions for design layouts. Maybe not this week, but she's got her grandma's creativity go far.
Of course we'd be interested in more pictures from your photo shoot! Look forward to hearing all about it.

With or without the little helper, your house looks great and I am sure the photo shoot will do it justice.

Sugarwings sounds like a joy to be around. She is going to grow up to be just as creative as her grandma. Great job with the flowers Sugarwings!! I sent out my tags by priority mail so I do hope you will get them by Thursday. Sorry to be late. I had an emergency which created a lot of anxiety and necessitated a lot of running around on Monday when I had intended to get them out.

You bet I want to see more pictures! I have "helpful" grands too...they do keep it interesting! LOL

I love the peat pots and the fairies.
Are the fairies made from the 2 inch dolls or are they bigger? I got my dolls in the mail, today, and thought I would try making mine into fairies.
How is school going for Sugarwings?

Karla,
Your helper has a much better 'eye' than my 3. Their rearranging have more to do with legos & swords than flowers. Please PLEASE post more. I wanna see! Also, I have been trying to think up a garden style class for Mary & I'm thinking of using those seed starters & I look at your previous post! Those are the CUTEST things I've ever seen. Much cuter than I was thinking of. Oh well, back to the drawing board. Lisa
PS I'm kicking myself for missing those Charlottes. I need some kind of alert on my computer when you stock the shop.

Good Morning Karla
Can't wait to see more photos. It's so funny, I just bought peat pots this weekend to use with my frozen Charlotte's!
Have a wonderful week!
