Recently I discovered the gardening junk at the Dollar Store and filled the Fairy Berry Trail with a gaudy cartful of rainbow-ey things.
Sugarwings was coming to spend the day with me, so I hurried out and filled the trail with the decor to surprise her. She thinks that the fairies decorated it for her. I never get the credit, but I don't mind.
What on earth would my life be like without my grands? I'd be doing something yucky like actually getting some work done instead of hanging rainbow wind socks out in the woods.
I'll be busy getting ready for BirdSong this week, please forgive me for not answering comments. I'll be taking the time to read them, tho!
I'm going to say..."thank you" for all the fairy berry trail tales! and for taking the time to embellish everything! Grandmas 'understand'....big thank you hugz! cause they are only little once...

This really warms my heart. It sounds like the sort of things my Mom used to do for our kids. You are making lovely memories that they will cherish forever. We lost my Mom in 2006 and my daughter smiles every time she recalls their "special" times, things that my Mom did that were only for her. Thanks for making me smile.

Hi Karla
Playing a little catch-up with you, I haven't been here in 5 posts. You are an awesome Grammie - I love how you make everything special - and it's worth the effort when you see the smiles and hear the laughter!
Have a wonderful Easter!

Karla, I forgot to mention that I was at the Dollar Tree and they had some 5-6 inch bisque ballerinas that I thought you would enjoy transforming into fairies. They had black, brown, and blond hair and come on stands. Just thought I'd let you know.

I am insanely jealous of your farie berry trail. Of course, even if I had one it wouldn't be nearly as magical because I'd never think of all the creative stuff to do with it that you do. For example, I just recently read your entry when Sugarwings turned two, and you tied balloons to hidden branches along the trail. Now this. Oh this is just fabulous, I tell ya!! And besides that your two babies in this picture are too beautiful for words!

Oh Karla, what a magical world you create for your darling little Sugarwings! No wonder she thinks she's a real fairy Princess!! Catching rainbows in the woods - oh to be a fairy princess again!
