Oh my! I hope those pesky raccoons appreciate such a nice gesture and take the Barbie!

Lori

Raccoons can be so destructive ~ I love Sugarwings idea ~ They might just go for it :)

Karla Nathan

I think theyll find some way to use the barbie as a tool to wedge the window open as they stand on the cooler!

We had the same problem at our back porch, never realized how vicious and destructive those cute little bandits are. We borrowed a trap and after some research, put an empty can, like a tuna can size, at the back of the trap with marshmallows, grapes and drizzled with honey and waited. In no time, we got the little bandit, a big one, drove several miles and let him go, he was not a happy camper but he took off.
hope you catch yours.

That's pretty smart of Sugarwings to sacrifice one Barbie for the greater good of the whole Barbie family.

Kathy

Oh, you are NOT having fun with this. Those things with their cute little bandit faces can be nasty AND scary. Especially, when they growl. Good luck with that, Karla.

Saucy Chick Sherry

How very sweet of Sugarwings to share one of her Barbies. Racoons are very vicious so be super careful.

Andie

I just leave food on the outer perimeter of the yard, up in the trees. It keeps them busy!

Laurie

Oh, this post makes me so happy! Sugarwings is just so cute -- she's definitely a "win-win" thinker! Also, I've always wanted to see your cat!

karen

They brought back the container so you could fill it up again! hee! hee!
Sugarwings is too cute! karen...

Heidi Meyer

Darn those pesky raccoons. Too cute!! What a sweet and creative girl Sugarwings is. I hope those raccoons take the Barbie and hit the road. xxoo Heidi

silvia

Yup, get a cage, put something with Peanut Butter in it and that should do the trick.

Samantha

eeesh!...they are SO full of mischief! It was nice of them to bring the container back now that they're done with it. ;) And awfully sweet of Sugarwings to sacrifice her Barbie for the cause!

Charlene

From the lips of babes... How sweet. But, what a mess. I think I would be more sinister! I remember the look on my uncles & aunts that live/farm in Kansas when my stupid brother showed up at a family reunion with a coon on a red leather leash (yes he bought the stupid thing at a pet store)... The uncles wanted to shoot it! It was only the beginning... Good Luck!

Ugh...we had the same issue with dumb ole opussoms'..I hope Barbie did her job :) I'm having the same issue in your prior post with my little one. All happy to go then a sad puss---she is only in K4 though. Sigh...I don't like the droops in her either. Hope you had a great weekend, Kris

Kathy

I love her logic - show them some love so they behave!
Seriously, I had some racoon issues at one point, too, and what worked for me was taking the cat food inside at night plus I set up my "perimeters" every night buy filling empty tuna and cat food cans with about a half inch of amonia and setting them every few feet around the endge of the patio. Good luck!

Rebecca

I died laughing when I read her little note! She is so funny!

jeanie

Hmmm. I'd probably do the same thing with my craft supplies -- because we all know raccoons are pretty crafty!
