You are in my head with the "use the good stuff" mantra. Yeah, you've been in my head for several years now. It has been very encouraging to hear your voice as I pick thru my stash, deciding what to use on a new project. I still find it hard!!! Which is why I continue to call on you, my muse.

Jeannie McGehee

What an awesome day to spend crafting! Your kits look beautiful--mine is ordered:)--and your room is beautiful... thanks for sharing and encouraging me to use the "special" stuff...was just looking at my wedding dress and was wondering how to use it but will find something to make even if its just to cover a Christmas tree..

Well said Karla! Everything is just lovely - and so inspiring!

You're right about the good stuff, Karla. It's easy for me to use it in the home or with yarn -- a little harder in the art, but I think you have touched me enough times that it is becoming easier.

The pieces you created are beautiful, as if your whole environment. (By the way, loved the Romantic Country feature). It's always a bit of a joy-haven in your world!

How true your words are Karla. If we only look at the good stuff and don't share it, we take away its special beauty.
This Christmas Eve we are hosting at our house and I am so happy to be able to use the china my mother in law served every holiday meal on. Everyone else uses paper plates and this year will be in remembrance of a dear lady who loved to entertain with her family. Thanks for this timely post.

Wish I could have been there! Every project is beautiful, and your home and studio look wonderful in their holiday best!

Terri, we had a great time, wish you couldve been there. We did talk about you, did your ears burn? We missed you!

Karla Nathan

There is always a time and place for paper plates, I do love those time savers, but its also important to enjoy our special possessions! How nice of you to honor your MIL by using her china, Catie

Loved this post Karla! Actually love all your posts. Just ordered 1 of each kit from your shop. Looking forward to getting it and doing some crafting. Although it's not like I don't have anything else to craft with! I just like your stuff! Have a fun day!

Karla Nathan

How nice of you to say, Yvonne!

Thanks Karla for the heads up on the zipperstop seam binding. I got mine just fine and it arrived today. Lots of stuff to play with now.
Luv how you look out for us.

Karla Nathan

I love using that ribbon. And it takes dye great too.

Karla Nathan

Your holiday party looked lovely, too, Kim! I hope you are loving your new studio!!

Karla Nathan

Thanks , Jeannie! Yep, using the Good Stuff takes guts and perseverance!

Karla Nathan

Ooh, a Christmas tree covered in lace? Yum!

It took me a long time to realize I was sabotaging my art by not using my best supplies. It makes such a difference, every once in a while I slip, I see why I should not be stingy with my stuff.
