I just love seeing your "journey of re-doing"! I, too, have some glitter on my walls, only in my house it is on brightly-colored squares of Batik fabric that I have in parts of my kitchen, hallway, and dining room. :) I certainly love your style, too, Karla--the vintage shabby chic-ness is so beautiful and soothing to the eye! That pink bathroom looks so pretty, and I LOVE your painting of the pink roses!

Id be surprised if you didnt have glitter on your walls, Linda!

And thanks, that is one of my favorite paintings.

Way too adorable, Karla! You are one crazy woman with a paint brush and boy, do the results look terrific. Interesting on the glitter; hadn't thought of that! I was looking at a chair of mine that is falling apart and thinking it was shabby without the chic! Wish I had your talent with stitching, upholstering and all!

I love how the bathroom came out! Sweet with a touch of rust is perfect. The soft pink looks so grand and now, yes it's a powder room, love it!

Laurie Jackson

Of COURSE you have glitter on your powder room walls! What fun -- it looks soft and beautiful.

Rebecca

What a wonderful idea...glitter on the walls!!! I still remember how incredibly fun your glitter table set up was for crafting!!

Karla Nathan

Thanks, Rebecca. The darker the paint, the more the glitter shows I tried it on white walls and it is just lost. I once had it on chocolate brown and that was spectacular.

Im sure loving it. And this is one redo my husband even commented on. Usually he doesnt notice.

Karla Nathan

Yep, Gigi, it is a powder room for sure,

LindaSonia

You sure do have a unique style!

I loved this! Especially the folding: I filled my palm with glitter, and blew it onto the wall to stick to the wet paint. Perfect results! (Unless you consider what a mess the floor was, and how much of it got tracked through the house. Which doesn't really bother me. I like to leave a trail of glitz and sparkle every where I go, and apparently the dogs do too.)

Karla, I love your trail of glitz and your sparkle!

Karla Nathan

Thanks, Coleen, I have to admit, Im still finding glitter here and there from that day. I dont think it is a technique I could use at a clients home, but it is a fun way to paint at my house!

Marian

Hi Karla! I love the makeover. What brand and color of paint did you use in this bathroom? I'm trying to find a similar shade of pink. Thanks so much!
